B&NSS launches new facility for its Collaborative Work Environment
State-of-the-art data center marks new phase for growing firm

INDIANAPOLIS—B&N Shared Services today announced that it is nearing completion of its new downtown Indianapolis data center, which will reinforce the quality of its Collaborative Work Environment (CWE) and expand the company’s overall shared service capabilities.

The new climate-controlled facility provides secure, power- and fire-protected provides clients with a solid option for colocation and disaster recovery. With state-of-the-art features, such as its raised floor, the facility houses a large network of servers creating a unique scalability to accommodate large data requirements, including the potential for data replication and mirrored sites.

“Our Collaborative Work Environment continues to be one of the driving forces behind the growth of B&N Shared Services,” said Brook Pierce, B&NSS’ director of business development. “The ability to provide customers with online platforms to streamline their business operations is only intensified with our new facility.”

The CWE, a customize, powerful and fully-supported platform, establishes an engine for delivering scalable, manageable and extensive extranet sites ripe for document collaboration, information sharing, team productivity and project tools. In addition to the creation of collaborative web sites, CWE provides the foundation for the development of business applications and advanced information management capabilities. These applications accelerate and transform how companies conduct business by adding more efficiency and cost-savings capabilities.

Additionally, B&NSS is seeking to obtain economic development funding to further the expansion of its data center facility, which will only strengthen the firm’s capabilities to provide a variety of technological shared services and lay the groundwork for the next generation of workforce collaboration.
